In seguito all’approvazione del decreto “interpretativo” con cui il governo è intervenuto, in occasione delle elezioni regionali,

sul caso delle liste non ammesse e reintrodotte illegittimamente con l’avallo formale del Presidente della Repubblica Giorgio Napolitano,

vista la mobilitazione generale su internet e in molte piazze italiane e considerate le numerosissime sollecitazioni a protestare contro l’ennesimo attacco alla democrazia italiana,

il Popolo Viola London, l’Italia dei Valori Uk, la federazione della Sinistra Uk e gli Amici Beppe Grillo London, in contemporanea con le manifestazioni che si terranno nelle maggiori piazze italiane ed europee, intraprenderanno un’azione trasversale per dar voce allo sgomento e alla rabbia degli italiani residenti all’estero in un momento di drammatica emergenza democratica.

Sabato 13 marzo 2010 saremo di nuovo in piazza per protestare contro l’ennesimo abuso di potere da parte del governo e per urlare BASTA, BASTA, BASTA al continuo disprezzo e stravolgimento delle regole e dei principi che sono alla base di qualsiasi sistema democratico.

Dimostriamo che c’è un’Italia che resiste all’illegalità ed è pronta a scendere in piazza ogni volta che sarà necessario.

C’è un’Italia DIVERSA, UNITA, che NON SI ARRENDERA’ all’arroganza di questa classe politica.

On March 5th Silvio Berlusconi’s cabinet passed a decree aimed at reinstating candidates in two key regional elections after irregularities in presenting their candidacies.

The decree which has been widely reported in the media is UNCOSTITUTIONAL since it conflicts with law number 400/1988 concerning the normative power of the government and underlining the impossibility for the government to exceed article number 72 of the Italian Constitution.

What we are witnessing is the DEATH of the ITALIAN DEMOCRACY.

Following these recent events, protests from the opposition parties and from a great number of citizens arose spreading a call for protest via social networks to Italians in Italy and abroad.

The Italians in UK have therefore decided to join this movement coordinating a demonstration between civil and political groups to express a common dissent in this moment of democratic crisis.

For all the reasons above we are GATHERING TO DEMONSTRATE on Saturday the 13th of March at Richmond Terrace (opposite 10, Downing Street) against the latest government’s abuse of power.

A clear message must be sent that there is an Italy with a face, name and voice that rejects such forms of illegality and manipulation and that is ready to protest whenever is necessary.

A clear message must be sent that there is a UNITED Italy that RESISTS.
